URGENT: Reynolda Church Meeting Online, Not Physically
Dear Reynolda Family,
In consideration of prevailing medical wisdom and Governor Cooper’s discouragement of public gatherings exceeding 100 people, Reynolda’s leadership has prayerfully decided to cancel weekend services in our physical locations and to offer vibrant livestream worship opportunities instead.
So, church will look different this weekend—but we’ll still have church. We’ll send you further instructions about how you can easily join us for a full worship service online at reynoldachurch.org/live at 9:30am, 11:00am, or 12:30pm tomorrow. You’ll be able to say “Amen” online (and I’m going to need some “amens”!) and you can make prayer requests and give online as well.
I’m preaching a special message this weekend from Psalm 91 called “Safe in the Shadow of His Wings.” It’s a word of confident hope in the face of societal fears. Let’s be clear, we aren’t cancelling services because we’re afraid—we’re cancelling because we love our community and want to do all we can to prevent the spread of disease.
Christians have always been the first to care about the sick because we believe that every person is made in the image of God. Christians started the first hospitals and medical schools and medical missions. We have so much hope and love to offer the world. Let the light of Christ shine brightly in these uncertain times.
Throughout the health crisis, we will continue to seek God for the best ways for our church to continue ministry. In-home groups may meet at their discretion. We’ve made no decisions about other gatherings. We’re praying and following the crisis hour by hour.
Invite your friends to join us online. Gather your families around the screen and worship together. Rejoice in the Lord always!
