CAMPUSES REOPEN SUNDAY, JUNE 28
These months of quarantine and social distancing have proven that the Church is not (and never has been) a building. The Church is the people of God. In that sense, the church has stayed open—just in a different way!
That said, your church leaders have been prayerfully making plans to gather at our facilities for corporate worship starting Sunday, June 28. (With local and national news changing daily, we will update you if anything changes.)
I and the church leadership want to keep you safe and serve you well so you can flourish spiritually. For many of you, that will mean continuing to worship at home. You can expect the same great online services every weekend. If you’re comfortable doing so, invite someone to come worship with you at home—your unchurched friends probably feel more comfortable hanging out Sunday morning in your living room than at a large church gathering.
For those of you who plan to return to your campus in-person, be assured that we’ll make the worship experience as safe as possible. We will be spacing seating, adding service times as needed, and controlling traffic flow in the buildings. As a gesture of thoughtfulness toward the health of others, masks will be encouraged.
As always, please be wise. I encourage higher risk worshipers to continue online worship. And, of course, if you have any COVID-19 symptoms, please worship at home.
