While we are not moving forward with our usual curriculum, we want to provide you resources to use at home during these weeks that we are not seeing you in person.
We have been studying the Old Testament this year. As we approach the events leading up to Easter, let's review how everything in the Old Testament points to Jesus.
Questions for Discussion
1. What separates us from God? What is sin?
2. What are some of the previews in the Old Testament that remind us of Jesus?
3. Why do you think that Jesus is also called, "The Lamb of God?"
Family Activity - Memory Challenge
John 1:29b says, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!"
Write each word of this verse on a piece of paper or index card (or outside with sidewalk chalk). Tape the papers on the floor like a hopscotch course. Take turns jumping on each paper while saying the word. Can you turn the paper over and still remember the verse as you hop?
*Outdoor alternative - Write each word of the verse on the sidewalk with sidewalk chalk - arrange like a hopscotch course. Take turns jumping on each word, saying it as you go? Can you close your eyes as you hop and say the verse?
Pray. Thank Jesus for coming to show us what God is like and for being the Lamb who died to take the punishment for our wrong choices. Ask God to help each person in your family to understand, in a deeper way, what Easter means.
